TranscribeFlow ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle data when you use our free audio transcription service at transcribeflow.fun. We believe in a simple principle: your data stays yours.

2. Data We Collect

We collect minimal data to provide and improve the Service:

• Audio files: Uploaded audio is processed in memory and immediately deleted after transcription completes. We never store, cache, or retain audio files on our servers.
• Transcripts: Generated transcripts exist only in your browser's memory and local storage. They are never transmitted to or stored on our servers.
• Visitor analytics: We use a simple, privacy-respecting visitor counter (anonymous session IDs) to display live online users and total visit counts. No personal data is collected.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

• No personal information (name, email, phone, address)
• No account data (we have no user accounts)
• No cookies for tracking or advertising purposes
• No IP addresses or location data
• No browsing history or device fingerprints
• No audio files after transcription completes

4. How Audio Files Are Handled

When you upload an audio file, it is transmitted via encrypted HTTPS to our backend server. The file is loaded into memory, processed by the Whisper AI model, and the resulting transcript is returned to your browser. The audio file is then permanently and immediately deleted from our server. No backup, cache, or copy is retained.

5. Cookies & Local Storage

TranscribeFlow does not use cookies. We use browser local storage solely to save your transcription history on your device for your convenience. This data never leaves your browser and is cleared when you clear your browser data. We do not use any tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics cookies.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Vercel: Hosting provider for our frontend. Vercel may collect standard server logs (IP addresses, user agents) as part of their infrastructure, but we do not access or use this data for tracking.
• Google AdSense: We display advertisements through Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our website or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.

7. Data Security

All communications with TranscribeFlow are encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. Audio files are processed in volatile memory and never written to persistent storage. We follow industry best practices for data security and do not store any user data on our servers.

8. GDPR Compliance

TranscribeFlow is designed to be GDPR-compliant by default. Since we do not collect, store, or process any personal data, there is no personal data to access, modify, or delete. Your audio files are processed ephemerally and immediately destroyed.

9. Children's Privacy

TranscribeFlow does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. The Service does not require account creation and does not collect personal data from any user.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
